The Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport started it airfield markings project today. The project includes updating the current markings and adding the new enhanced taxiway markings. The new enhanced taxiway markings are a new requirement under the airport’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 139 safety requirements. These new marking will provide pilots with better situational awareness when operating on the airfield. Swanston Equipment Company of Fargo ND is the prime contractor on the project. Kadrmas Lee & Jackson is the engineer for the project. The new markings are made available by a $91,000 grant from the FAA and North Dakota State Aeronautics Commission. The project is expected to be completed in six days. |
